Engagement Photos at Cole Mountain, Virginia

Chiara and Nick are best friends and it is so evident in the way they interact with each other, everything is genuine and fun and they just truly enjoy being together. With Aspen, their puppy, around for the session too, there was no shortage of laughter and smiles! They are so goofy and just totally brighten up each other's world, even on such a rainy/gloomy day, they were pure sunshine to be around!

Chiara and Nick wanted to do a short hike, bringing along their puppy Aspen, and I thought Cole Mountain was an amazing option because it's a short hike with a gorgeous view at the top. I helped them choose the location, with that view in mind, the weather had other plans though!

We could not see a thing on the top of the mountain but that is honestly what made the two of them and their love for each other stand out. They were the real view, cheesy as that is ;) I loved the fog, when she put on her dress it gave me ALLLL THE NOTEBOOK VIBES! Also, sidetone but another favorite part, Chiara and I have been friends for about 10 years, since I was a junior in high school! We were best friends in high school and are still close, she's one of those friends who you pick right back up with where you left off. It's so amazing and makes me truly emotional thinking about how far we've come and all the failed/messy relationships we have walked through alongside each other. Super surreal to see where we are today, we used to have sleepovers and talk about our future husbands and this season we're living now. Just really beautiful to live out this season together, so grateful she is still in my life.

These two have been dating for a little over a year and have been engaged since April of this year - I’m so thrilled that they drove down from Northern Virginia & took time aside from their Memorial day weekend camping trip to hang out for a few hours for their engagement session.
