Sparks are flying between Emily and Stephen! They joined me for a fun engagement session on April 1, 2022. But, there were no jokes when it comes to their love. Emily and Stephen share a passionate, lively, and pure love and photographing their engagement session was such a good time! The energy was so lively and got me soooo excited for their wedding later this month, I can’t wait!

DC Engagement Photos at the Jefferson Memorial

For our two future newlyweds the Jefferson Memorial was the perfect spot for their engagement photo session! Both Emily and Stephen LOVE the historical nature of DC and share many sentimental memories in this area as well; on their second date they took a walk around the National Mall! Hand-in-hand and sharing many laughs, the two strolled past Jefferson, the Washington Monument, and the Lincoln Memorial… but my favorite detail of this second “real” date was that it was POURING RAIN! That’s quite magical if you ask me!

A love story that started as friendship!

Emily and Stephen’s love story may not have began until halfway through 2020 but, they originally met each other back in their middle and high school days! Even though they had similar friend groups and interests it never led to a relationship. But, after a few years they reconnected as adults. With a shared backstory they were able to connect on a deep level and really understand one another developing an incredibly strong relationship.

But friends, I couldn’t get enough of these two. Their engagement session was soooo much fun. Although, it just so happened to be the windiest day ever! Emily’s hair was flying in every direction but the two just had fun with it! It was clear that they enjoyed the time they were able to spend together celebrating such a special time in their relationship. My absolute favorite part of the entire session was when I told them to run to each other as if they hadn’t seen each other in a year… they SCREAMED, flipped out, and jumped all over each other. We were dying laughing! I had the best time with Emily and Stephen and know that the playfulness and love of their relationship will carry them through any challenges they face. With their wedding just around the corner, I could not be more excited for these two as they enter the next chapter of their relationship!!
